How compound interest works

Interest is earned not only on the money you put in, but also on the returns you have already earned. The longer the period, the stronger the effect — which is why it pays to start saving early. In Poland, investment gains are subject to the 19% capital gains tax (podatek Belki), unless you invest through an IKE or IKZE retirement account.
